Eat well to avoid stalling
Breakfast gets a good breakfast, as long as it is balanced, allows to both fill up with energy before starting the day, and avoid nibbling. It is assumed to account for a quarter of the daily energy intake.
And of course, having a balanced breakfast has an impact on satiety. Indeed, having a proper breakfast will avoid snacking in the middle of the morning.
For example, missing breakfast can lead to fatigue, mid-morning nibbling, and difficulty concentrating and learning because of lack of energy! This is why it is all the more important for the child: going to school on an empty stomach will not benefit him. It is estimated that a child who does not eat breakfast loses an hour and a half a week of learning.
The worst decision about breakfast would be to skip it. But it’s not to take anything.
Balanced breakfast: food that wants us well
It is ideal for including protein and slow sugars in your breakfast. Be careful to avoid an excess of sugar: this will not calm you and will quickly bring the cravings.
To avoid missing a balanced breakfast that will keep you going all morning, choose :
- a cereal product (cereals, rusks, etc.) or lightly buttered bread, for carbohydrates
- milk, yoghurt or cheese, rich in calcium and protein
- a serving of fruit to fill up with vitamins
- a drink to rehydrate after nighttime (fruit juice combines both the fruit portion and the drink, provided it is a real pressed fruit juice)
Tips: Avoid eating too copiously the night before will open the appetite for the morning! Just like not to sit down at the table immediately at the jump of the bed: it is better to prepare before breakfast to get hungry.
